Wildcats vs. Jayhawks move to Round 2

The Michael Beasley Guarantee Tour will make its second stop Saturday when the National Player of the Year candidate and his Kansas State teammates arrive in Lawrence for the return game with No. 6 Kansas, who the Wildcats defeated 84-75 in Manhattan on Jan. 30. This time, however, the showdown will be held in KU’s Allen Fieldhouse, which is regarded as one of the nation’s toughest venues for visitors, but the reputation of the KU basketball team or the venue that it calls home hasn’t stopped the confident K-State freshman from having a little more fun with the Jayhawks

Lynn K’s nine Friday night

There was a time Friday night when Ole Miss starting pitcher Lance Lynn stood on the mound at Swayze Field and took in the surroundings. There was the catcher, the Indiana State batter in the box and the umpire in front of him. Behind him stood the Rebel infield. Behind them, there was nothing. Thick fog swallowed up the outfield at Swayze Field, causing havoc on fly balls and forcing a 30-minute delay before Ole Miss picked up a 6-4 win over Indiana State

Browns, QB Anderson agree to 3-year deal (AP)

Anderson has agreed to a multiyear contract to stay with the Browns, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract had not been completed.

Derek Anderson ran a reverse on the Cleveland Browns. Only a few hours after the quarterback hit the free-agent market, Anderson agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million contract with the Browns, who were prepared to move on without the Pro Bowl alternate. The deal reportedly includes over $13 million in guaranteed money.

Rusin fans career-high 9 as Cats thump Butler
